Denis Weldone sat on the porch of his laboratory above Spring, the place so called because it had the only fresh water on the island. Denis himself had found the water using his antenna, the locals called it his “wand” but there was no magic in it - the instrument could detect all the natural forces of the Earth and has been used by humankind, in different forms, for thousands of generations. In this new era that was dawning, Denis knew that the quest for logical explanations for nature would prevail and that the ancient ways would be suppressed for a time.
The water trickled down the rock face behind the laboratory while Denis reflected upon what he should do next. He had discovered a place where time and space were irrelevant. He could be wherever he wanted whenever he wanted in a blink of the eye. He realised that the end of his physical earthly life was close and increasingly he felt the desire to wander amongst his past friends, future brethren and others, chosen like himself.
“Once you accept that the unexplainable can’t be explained, a door opens to another dimension where the very confines of our own universe lie like crumbs on the table” Denis conversed with one of his own genetic descendants, a wise man, medium and healer still living on the island some 200 years in the future. “But remember always that it’s only the giving that makes you.....”
Look in the mirror
Gaze through time
It's only love
That throws you a line
Past and present
Always new
From outside in
Cherish the view
Please understand
It's not what you see
Just follow the flow
And then you'll be...
